Trusting the Timing: Lessons, Blessings, and the Universe’s Plan
©2026 Laura's Truthfulness. All. Rights.Reserved.
Have you ever found yourself wide awake in the middle of the night, staring at the ceiling, and wondering, Why didn’t this work out? It’s a heavy, exhausting question. When you are already navigating the daily realities of chronic pain, brain fog, and the overwhelming waves of trauma and dissociation, it’s incredibly easy to get stuck in the "whys." The fog makes it hard to see the bigger picture, and the physical and emotional toll can make those late night worries feel entirely all consuming.
But in those quiet, challenging moments, I try to gently remind myself of a simple, grounding truth: the universe already has a plan.
Life has a way of shifting the pieces around, even when we can't understand the strategy. People are brought into our lives for a specific reason, and sometimes, they are taken away for a reason just as important. Things fall apart so that other things can finally fall into place. If something isn't meant for you, no amount of forcing will make it stay. But if it is meant to be, it will absolutely find its way to you.
The beautiful, confusing part of this journey is that life is full of both lessons and blessings and they often wear each other's clothes.
Sometimes, what we are certain is a blessing reveals itself to be a profound, difficult lesson. And sometimes, the hardest lessons we endure eventually blossom into our greatest blessings.
Accepting this doesn't instantly make the hard days disappear. The physical reality of illness is still there, and the mental load is still heavy. But choosing to believe that everything happens for a reason offers a quiet anchor when the current gets too strong.
If you are also sitting up at night wondering why certain doors have closed, know that you aren't alone. Trust that the universe is simply making room for the right things. What is meant for you will not pass you by.

People that have Raya 💔
The people that have Raya they live out in Vernon, and they actually lost their home so I don't know when I'm gonna see her. I'm so devastated and so heartbroken for them, and I couldn't imagine how scared she is ,I'm so lost for words. I don't know when I'm going to get her or get to see her. I just want her to come home where she can get away from. All of that. I'm so heartbroken before them losing their home. They're great people, amazing people. I've actually built a really good relationship with them. And they've almost become almost like family to me. And to know that, you know, they lost their home and I don't even know where they are. I've been kind of just trying to wait and be patient but I'm gonna have to cut this short because it's making me so upset and making me cry. These fires are ruining people's lives and taking people's homes and affecting people animals and affecting those around them. It's so devastating 😢

The Truth About The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together Program: I Will Not Be Silenced
I started this blog for one specific reason: to document my experiences in real time and create an unedited, honest record of my journey. Today, I am taking that transparency a step further. I have officially created a Facebook account dedicated to sharing my lived experiences and broadcasting my blog post.
I never thought I would be using Facebook. It is a bit funny to find myself back on social media, but it has become a necessary outlet. People need to know exactly what is happening behind the scenes with The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program. I am using this blog as a vital cognitive behavioral technique to process severe stress, and anxiety I put my experience out there, and speak my truth. Whether the foundation likes it or not, I have the absolute right to do so.
The Missing HR Structure and Targeted Actions
I had been a participant in this program for almost six years, from 2021 to 2026. I have seen, heard, and documented everything. I do not delete anything; my email records span this entire five-year period. Because of this, I know exactly how this organization operates.
The executive director of The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program, Kathy Powelson, has been actively waiting for an opportunity to terminate my 13-year-old senior Papillon for the past year. She took the specific initiative to wait until the Board of Directors President was away which my 13-year-old senior Papillon was under his care she executed not but 2 termination letters then lawyered up.
When a conflict like this happens, an organization should have a neutral party to handle it. However, The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program has no Human Resource coordinator. If you have an issue, you are forced to contact the exact same person who is causing the conflict, creating the drama, and manufacturing problems that do not exist. This setup causes immense, unnecessary stress and anxiety for vulnerable participants.
The Empty Car Analogy: Stop Supplying the Gas
Let’s use an exact analogy to look at how this organization functions. Think of The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program as a car. The foundation itself is just an empty physical vehicle. The donors, the donations, and the corporate sponsors are the gas. Without that gas, the car cannot run, move, or operate.
By continuing to provide them with gas money, the community is fueling a machine that treats humans and animals poorly. The public needs to stop fueling this organization. The 80% funding utilized by the foundation does not belong to the foundation or Kathy Powelson it belongs entirely to the donors and sponsors who give their hard-earned money to a cause they see on a website.
Right now, The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program is using that community gas money to pay for a costly lawyer to come after me, try to shut me up, and silence my voice. That valuable donor money should be going toward animals in need, specialized diets, and senior dog medical care not legal fees to suppress a disabled participant's story. They use the vulnerability of participants to keep them quiet, expecting them to shut their mouths, pay their portion, and take threats without speaking out. I refuse to do that.
A Fundamental Misunderstanding: Animals vs. Humans
One of the most irritating arguments used by The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program is the statement, "You are no longer enrolled in the program."
Let’s get something straight: a human being is not the one enrolled in a veterinary assistance program. The animal is the one enrolled in the program. The dog or the cat is the entity seeking medical attention and requiring care. Terminating a file means intentionally pulling medical care away from an animal and causes then harm.
Any dedicated pet owner will tell you that they would completely neglect their own medical or dental needs to ensure their animal receives veterinary care first. The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program knows this, and they use that deep bond to hang medical care over vulnerable people's heads as a tool for control.
The Reality of False Advertisements and False Resources
On their platform, The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program claims to provide extensive resources for disabled individuals, including help with pet food delivery and transportation. In my six years with the program, they never once helped me with transportation. I had to pay out of my own pocket for pet food delivery via Uber carrier buses ubers cabs.
Furthermore, the organization has poured resources into a central "Hub" warehouse. For a permanent HandyDART user like myself living in Surrey, this location is completely inaccessible. HandyDART transit has a strict policy: an animal cannot board the bus unless it is a fully certified service animal.
I am a disabled person living with fibromyalgia, severe complex PTSD, severe OCD, and other complex health conditions. My physical reality makes simple travel agonizing:
Back in June 2025, my senior dog required consecutive weekly clinic visits for nine straight months following a full dental operation and a bladder stone removal.
Because no transportation assistance was provided, I had to carry my dog in a bag, walk 20 minutes to a bus stop, take a bus, transfer to a second bus, and walk another 20 minutes just to reach the vet clinic and then repeat that entire grueling process to get back home or a uber or cab if I could afford most the time I couldn't.
At the time, I thought this excruciating pain was a sciatic nerve issue, but it was actually the physical toll of fibromyalgia.
When I finally advocated for my health and stated we needed to slow down the weekly visits because my dog's UTI had cleared, the pushback and threats from the organization began.
The Current Financial Impossibility
Today, I am looking after a 13-year-old senior dog who requires an expensive, highly specialized medical diet. At the same time, I have a puppy who is currently in training to become my certified medical service dog. To finish her certification, she requires mandatory vaccines, routine veterinary exams, and strict health clearances to ensure she is physically and mentally fit to assist with my disabilities.
I survive on a fixed income via provincial disability PWD. I am asking a direct question to the community or anyone : How is a disabled person on income assistance supposed to suddenly fund the specialized medical care of both a senior dog and a training service puppy completely alone?
You cannot. That is exactly why public community foundations are funded by donors. The Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program is a public community resource; they do not own the funds, and they do not get to subjectively dictate who gets community aid based on personal conflicts.
I know there are others out there who have faced similar censorship, deleted reviews, or shifting rules such as the organization suddenly trying to change a signed 20% co-pay contract into a 33% demand via a secondary manual. If you have experienced this, or if you have had a lawyer set on you by this foundation simply for speaking your truth, please reach out to me if you feel comfortable.

Hope for paws animal foundation
A Special Thank You to Dr. Llewellyn for Delivering My Evidence
The leadership at Hope for paws animal foundation seems to have a serious problem following rules even the ones set by their own legal counsel.
Despite explicit instructions from their own lawyer stating that board members are strictly prohibited from contacting me directly during this active dispute, Board Member Dr. Llewellyn just bypassed his own legal team. He decided to send me a "long-ass email" filled with nitpicking and provocations.
We all know exactly what this was. It was a calculated, toxic attempt to trigger me, cause me undue stress, and push me out of character, knowing full well the mental and physical health challenges I battle daily with severe Fibromyalgia.
But I have a massive, public message for Dr. Llewellyn: Thank you.
The Ultimate Backfire
By breaking legal protocol to send that desperate email, you inadvertently handed me the holy grail of my case. Attached to your communication were Zoe’s complete, official, multi-year veterinary records.
For months, the foundation has tried to push the false narrative that I received "free care" or "charity." Now, thanks to Dr. Llewellyn’s massive blunder, I have the absolute, indisputable financial paper trail right in my hands.
These official records show every single transaction, every date, and every cent that came directly out of my pocket from 2021 to 2026. It proves, in black and white, that free care was never received. Paid financial consideration was routinely provided by me based on our original contract. More importantly, it provides the exact mathematical proof of the unauthorized 33% billing overcharges I have been fighting against.
Playing a Losing Hand
When you try to manipulate and intimidate someone who is divinely protected, your own actions will trap you. You tried to provoke a reaction, but instead, you validated my entire case and handed me the exact exhibits a court of law needs to see.
The formal notice of this legal protocol breach has already been dispatched directly to your lawyer, Ms. Mitchell. The paper trail is locked in, permanent, and will never go away.
To the community members and donors reading this: stay tuned. The truth always finds its way into the light, and sometimes, the people trying to bury it are the ones who hand you the shovel.

Hope for paws animal foundation and better Together program do the right thing
This letter stands as a formal response to your correspondence dated Wednesday, July 29, 2026. The positions and factual assertions maintained by Hope for paws animal foundation and Better Together program are legally flawed, inaccurate, and rejected in their entirety.
1. Contractual Superiority vs. Program Manuals
The assertion that the internal policy manual governs the copayment structure is legally incorrect. A contract establishes enforceable, mutual obligations between parties. The executed contract governing this matter explicitly mandates a strict 20% copayment structure. An informational manual or pamphlet lacks the legal authority to unilaterally alter, supersede, or diminish the terms of an active, executed contract.
To illustrate the flaw in this logic: when a consumer purchases an item that includes an instructional manual, that manual does not retroactively dictate or alter financial copayments post-purchase. Manufacturing administrative rules to bypass a binding contract is a direct breach. A comprehensive financial audit of all billing records from 2021 to 2026 will be required to calculate the exact total of these unauthorized overcharges, and the foundation will be held fully accountable for the funds owed. The distinction between a manual and a contract is clear, and the contract must be abided by.
2. Rejection of the "Free Care" Characterization
The claim that services were provided "at no cost" or as "free charity" fundamentally misconstrues the financial reality of this file.
The only entity receiving resources without charge is the Hope For Paws Foundation Better Together program, via public donors. The community donates these capital assets explicitly to benefit and support vulnerable, disabled citizens. Consequently, the foundation functions purely as an administrative vehicle and a public resource allocated for the community's use; it does not control public funds to use at its whim. The money belongs to the animals, and the community made this resource happen.
Furthermore, free care was never received. Financial obligations were consistently fulfilled out of pocket directly to participating veterinary clinics based on the contractually agreed upon split (20% paid out of pocket, 80% subsidized by community donations). Paid consideration was routinely provided over a five-year timeline for major medical interventions including bladder stone surgery, dental procedures, and specialized dietary food necessary for the prevention of bladder stones. Paid financial consideration establishes ongoing contractual obligations.
3. Total Lack of Contractual Breach and Failure to Provide Specificity
The assertion that the foundation was entitled to cease services is entirely rejected. Strict compliance has been maintained and the contract has never been breached. Conversely, the foundation has failed to provide a single factual, contractually valid reason for this sudden termination.
The dates and timelines provided are entirely fabricated. Furthermore, they are presented with no explanation, no specific times, no names, and no locations detailing what allegedly occurred. Legally and administratively, an organization cannot terminate an agreement based on arbitrary dates without providing a verified record of times, places, and specific actions.
This letter serves as formal notice that highly valuable, indisputable evidence is in hand demonstrating that board members directly violated and breached the contract on numerous occasions. This valuable evidence will be preserved and presented directly in a court of law, where a judiciary will evaluate the systemic pattern of administrative, psychological, and verbal abuse that individuals in this program are forced to tolerate simply to secure vital medical care. Standing up against this mistreatment resulted in immediate, groundless retaliation. The foundation is failing to provide honest information, which will severely compromise the professional position of legal counsel should this matter proceed to public litigation.
4. Practical Realities, Transportation Breaches, and Medical Necessity
The documentation regarding available program resources is factually false. Despite advertised program mandates, transportation resources for vital supplies were never received, forcing the absorption of out-of-pocket Uber expenses to secure basic necessities like dog food.
Furthermore, this continuous, hostile back-and-forth is causing severe, undue medical stress to a disabled individual, which has necessitated immediate documentation by an attending physician. This foundation is funded by the public specifically to protect animals and support disabled individuals who rely on medically necessary dogs. The 13-year-old senior dog requires immediate medical maintenance and special dietary food. Additionally, the incoming puppy being integrated for accessibility and future service dog certification was completely denied enrollment. Terminating a 13-year-old senior animal from a community-funded safety net is unacceptable.
5. Final Civil Resolution Offer
As a board member previously stated, parties do not need to like one another, but they must remain civil. At the end of the day, this matter is about the welfare of the animals, and community donations should be directed toward animal care rather than funding legal counsel to target disabled individuals. A final opportunity for a civil resolution is being offered to prevent the foundation from looking entirely reckless in a public courtroom.
To settle this matter civilly, the foundation must immediately execute the following terms:
1. Re-enroll the 13-year-old senior dog back into the program immediately.
2. Enroll the incoming puppy into the program as a designated service animal.
3. Refund all financial amounts contractually owed due to the unauthorized 33% copayment overcharges.
If these terms are met, the previous contract breaches will be forgiven, and both parties can move past this matter civilly to focus on the animals. If the foundation refuses to cooperate, this matter will proceed directly to formal litigation. A public court file will place all financial audits, internal communications, and valuable evidence into the public record for donors and the community to see.
The foundation has forty-eight (48) hours to respond with a written confirmation of re-enrollment and a resolution plan.
6. Concluding Statement on Public Funds and Intent
To address your comment stating that "Paws for Hope itself was at no cost to you": yes, it was a cost. A 20% copayment was consistently paid out of pocket, while the remaining 80% was covered by community donations. Those donor funds do not belong to the foundation. Your organization is the only entity collecting free money, which is legally and publicly intended for animals and individuals in need not to fund legal mechanisms against them.
Let's get real here: this is about the animals, not lawyers, and donations should not be used to pursue groundless actions. The Hope For Paws Foundation Better Together program is a resource for public support, and both the program and the funding belong to the animals and the people who need them. Let's resolve this immediately so everyone can move on.
Sincerely,
Laura.
Closing Statement
"Please consider this communication my second, last, and final opportunity to reach an amicable settlement regarding the unlawful termination of my 13-year-old senior dog and the refusal to enroll my puppy into the Hope For Paws Better Together program. I will not make further attempts to resolve this outside of a courtroom.
The funds and donations powering the Hope For Paws Foundation belong to the community, specifically intended to keep pets and their owners together. By withholding this essential resource from my senior Papillon and keeping my puppy out of the program, the foundation is violating its own stated mission. I have maintained full contract compliance from 2021 to 2026. The foundation has provided zero evidence of any breach on my part, whereas their own breaches are thoroughly documented.
Be advised that my family doctor is fully aware of this situation. If the refusal to reinstate my senior dog and enroll my puppy forces me to take formal legal action, I will pursue full damages for pain, suffering, and the severe medical impact this process inflicts on my health. Forcing a patient with complex PTSD and fibromyalgia to endure the physical and emotional toll of court proceedings due to personal bias is entirely unacceptable.
I expect the Hope For Paws Foundation to look past personal differences, uphold their contractual obligations, and prioritize the welfare of the animals. If a resolution is not reached immediately, we will proceed to legal proceedings.

The Sun Cleanse and Holding On
Survival Mode: Finding Peace in the Heat After Being Left in the Dark
I am forced to survive. After the Hope For Paws "Better Together" program abruptly and unlawfully terminated my 13-year-old senior dog who has been faithfully in the program since 2021 they also completely denied my new puppy from being enrolled.
Navigating this sudden loss of support is incredibly heavy, painful, and hard on me, but I am trying as hard as possible to keep my mental health together.
The Sun Cleanse: Right now, I am sitting outside, letting the sunshine act as a natural heating pad for my severe fibromyalgia. The heat is soaking into my body to help relax my muscles and get me away from the chaos.
Fighting for My Mental Health: Dealing with severe fibro flares, complex PTSD, and OCD while fighting this situation is not easy. But I am doing everything in my power to keep my mind and body together.
An Amazing Doctor in My Corner: My doctor sees the toll this is taking. He has officially documented every single detail of this situation in my medical records to protect me, and he is fully aware of how vital my dogs are to my life.
This is what survival looks like. I am hurt, I am tired, and the pain is real but I am still here, soaking up the light, and documenting every single step of the truth.
Let me know what you want to change or tweak on this text right now so we can get it exactly how you want it.

Documenting the Truth
Official Updates: Medical Documentation and Standing My Ground just got off the phone with my doctor ....
I am continuing to document every single detail of how the Hope For Paws "Better Together" program handled the sudden termination of my 13-year-old senior dog and puppy.
Medical Team Advised: I just briefed my doctor on the entire situation and the severe impact it has caused.
Official Records Opened: My doctor is now actively documenting these events and the resulting stress in my medical file.
Safety Net Established: This ensures a permanent, official medical paper trail is in place moving forward.
Exercising My Rights: I have an absolute right to speak the truth and share my story publicly.
This long-standing relationship (2021–2026) should have been handled with civil conversation. Instead, I am forced to protect myself health and my animals. I will not be silenced, and I will continue to post every update here.

Unacceptable Termination and Treatment After 5 Years of Program Participation
I am writing to formally address the unacceptable treatment I received regarding my 13-year-old senior dog and puppy.
-Long-Standing Relationship: I participated faithfully in this program from 2021 to 2026.
-Lack of Civility: Sudden termination without civil discussion violates basic professional standards.
-Vulnerable Animals Impacted: This abrupt decision directly harms a senior dog and a growing puppy.
-Expectation of Respect: A five-year history warrants working through issues together, regardless of circumstances.
Dismissing a dedicated participant without trying to resolve matters civilly is completely unacceptable. I expect a formal response and a review of this decision.

Hope for paws animal foundation
Upon reviewing my Better Together agreement, the contract explicitly sets my co-payment at 20% across multiple sections and contains zero clauses granting Hope for paws animal foundation the right to unilaterally alter or increase that rate. Yet, I recently discovered they have been charging me 33%, and I am now forced to comb through all of my past vouchers, receipts, and bank statements to audit the math and figure out exactly how long this overcharging has been happening.
When you sign a contract, you expect both parties to honor the terms. As someone who relies on the Paws for Hope Foundation and their Paws for Hope Better Together Program to help care for my dog and puppy, I trusted that the agreement I signed was exactly what I would be held to. Unfortunately, I made a highly disappointing discovery, and I am sharing this evidence so others can check their own paperwork.
According to the Paws for Hope Better Together Program Enrollment Agreement and Consent Form I signed, my copayment is strictly locked in at 20%.
If you look at the screenshots of my contract (attached below), the language is crystal clear in multiple sections:
Section 1 (Overview of Services): Explicitly states, "Pet guardians are expected to pay 20% of the charges..."
Section 2c (Copayment Agreement): Reinstates this directly above my signature, reading, "I agree to pay the required copayment of 20% of the total invoice..."
Section 5 (Notice of Changes): Outlines rules for changes in income or contact info, but contains zero provisions giving the Paws for Hope Foundation the right to unilaterally alter, adjust, or increase my copay percentage.
Despite this legally binding agreement, I found out today that I have been charged 33% instead of the agreed upon 20%. There is no clause, no addendum, and no warning in my contract that allows them to hike up my copay.
I am currently documenting every instance where this overcharge occurred to establish the full timeline and total amount.
I will be posting updates and further evidence ...in regards to other things as well I not going to stop advocating for my 13-year-old senior dogs medical care my community donates to us and my dogs photos were used for donations as well till I said no take her photos down I'm glad I did after finding out everything that have continue to.
JUST ANOTHER BREACH TO ADD TO LIST OF OTHER NUMOUS BREACHES.

The Truth is Out: Building My Team and Standing Firm
Lately, I have been pouring my entire soul into advocating for my dogs. At the end of the day, that is exactly what this comes down to, my animals, their care, and their well-being. I refuse to let anyone misrepresent the truth, take advantage of us, or use my situation. Whatever has happened behind closed doors is out in the wide open now. I am not a liar, I never will be, and unlike them, I always back up everything I say with hard evidence and proof.
Right now, I am actively building my legal team. I am looking for the right lawyer and am also getting a legal advocate involved to ensure we have a powerful, complete team. I have done this in the past, and I know it is the best way to handle this. The hard work is already moving forward, and I trust the universe will bring the right professional across my path to deal with this matter completely.
The Paws for Hope Animal Foundation and the Better Together program claim online they support disabled people, but what they have done to me is the exact opposite. They have my doctor's note. They know my doctor explicitly stated that my dog is medically necessary for me. They know that cutting off her medical care risks pushing me straight into the ER and the hospital because of how heavily this stress affects my condition. Yet, they have no care in the world about how they harm people's lives or affects them.
Again actions speak louder then words and no actions speak louder.
They need to seriously educate themselves. They need a Human Resource coordinator to teach them about mental health and disabilities like fibromyalgia, complex PTSD, and severe OCD. Right now, this entire situation has caused my fibromyalgia to flare up so severely that my vocal cords are strained and I can barely even talk. It is completely obvious they are stating lies, like claiming I got medical care for free when everything is documented, just to trigger me, provoke me, and try to get me to react out of character because they know I have mental health challenges.
Executive Director Kathy Powelson used the exact opportunity when Dr. Llewellyn was away for three weeks to push this termination through. She is a deeply mean person who speaks to people with zero dignity or respect, completely on a power trip for the last year. But it is not just her. There are others who contributed to my 13-year-old senior girl to losing her medical care while pretending they love her. I have made sure every single one of those people has been called out. I am not leaving a single person out, and I am not hiding or denying anything for anybody.
Despite the exhaustion, the raspy voice, and the physical toll, the door is wide open now. I am still here, still standing, and building the team to get the justice my dogs deserve.

Hope for paws animal foundation
Not one single word from the lawyer not one single word from the organization about the vouchers and about them charging me 33% instead of 20% like it states in my contract just the numerous breaches and then on the termination June 2025 saying that I had a warning which I got threatened by Executive Director Kathy Powelson because I was in pain and said that going to the clinic for 9 months straight every week is too exhausting on me at the time I thought I had sciatic nerve pain but it was actually fibromyalgia pain and this is all documented I have all this all documented in an email and then the February 25th 2025 have no idea what they're talking about and then stating that July 14th I asked for a review why the hell would I ask for a review about a blog post termination you can't terminate somebody for something they do outside of the scope of the program it's just like you Executive Director Kathy Powelson there's a photo of you standing with somebody with wine a glass of wine and you're supposed to be working and you're drinking alcohol interesting you want to talk about what people do outside of the scope of the program well why don't we talk about that trust me there's lots of things that I know more than you think I do and I'm telling you right now I'm not going to give up I'm not going to stop and if you think I'm going to I'm not this is going to go to court this is going to eventually you know have to go in front of a judge this is going to eventually have to have lawyers involved and everything else I mean you guys already have your lawyer your lawyer doesn't seem to like to do her job and doesn't like to respond to people just like you guys don't she's just as bad as you guys are and you know what I'm saying my truth and I'm saying the truth and that's all I can do and that's all I ever will do on this blog this blog is my blog I'm literally sitting here gasping for air because my fibromyalgia is so flared up and you know I have other health related issues that I don't want to talk about that are personal but you know the stress and anxiety from all of this is just you know making my health deteriorate faster and faster and more worse and more worse and at the end of the day I don't give a s*** about myself I don't give a s*** about my health at the end of the day what matters to me is that my dog my 13-year-old senior and my puppy has the care and the medical care that they desperately need and deserve from the community the community donates to you know people like me you guys stated on your website and you guys held a bunch of resources from me well in the program I approved for that as well I have the call recorded with Cassie Preston I have everything documented so I'm not worried I'm not worried like that in the sense it's just what I'm worried about is how you guys can't be civil for the sake of an animal or for the sake of animals you know you guys are making this about money making this about yourself you know it shows a lot about a person's character when they go silent and they don't say anything they just completely shut you out you know it's really really devastating that an organization like Hope For Paws Foundation Better Together program is supposed to help people like me with fibromyalgia complex PTSD severe OCD asthma and other health related problems and you know you guys have no idea the effect that you guys have put on my life you have no idea the effect that you put on my mental health you have no idea how much you've affected my physical health you don't know how much you are going to affect me financially I'm on disability and you know I'm on a strict income and as you can see in my previous blog post my previous vet passed away last month so you know there's that to you and honestly I want you guys to pay for what you guys have done to me the bullying the harassment the stalking the watching you know just everything I already have everything documented on here that's why soon as I knew that you know Dr Llewellyn was going to be away for 3 weeks I was like oh God here we go Executive Director Kathy Powelson she's going to take the opportunity to terminate me and what I tried to have a conversation with her she was yelling at me raising her voice at me and you know that's why you know I turned to my blog and I turn to my blog for numerous reasons that I don't need to explain myself to you why I come to my blog and why I write on my blog you guys are the ones that are watching you guys are the ones that are you know reading my blog you know like you guys are like it's almost like you guys are trying to find something it's like it's so weird like you know all all you're going to find on here is the truth and all you're going to find on here is me showing proof and evidence of you guys stealing from me you guys lying you guys preaching the contract numerous times like we're not talking one time numerous times and then giving me two termination papers in in the span of you know 10 days like it's just ridiculous you give me one and then 10 days later you turn around and give me another one like what is wrong with you like you know it's just you can tell by someone's actions that they're not doing it at a good faith and they're not doing it because that person actually did something wrong they're grasping at straws they're looking for something and she took the opportunity as I say she I mean Executive Director Kathy Powelson she's been at it for the last year and she was like up Dr llewellyn's gone for 3 weeks better jump on it you know it's just it's you know and then it's unfortunate that you know he stepped down and he stepped down cuz he was tired of the drama he wanted to focus on animals I have the recording and I don't blame him you know Kathy all you do is cause drama that's all you do is create and cause drama that's all you do soon as you don't like someone you just start nitpicking and trying to find a way to get them out of there and push them out of the program and you know what it's not about you it's not about me it's about the animals that suffer the consequences of your actions and your choices and your decisions like you know this is a foundation that is supposed to be founded on animals and keeping animals you know with their with their owners and pets with their owners you know anybody can go on your website and read that like you know and you say you do all these things and everything else but it's all a bunch of b******* you guys just try to make it sound good and make it sound like you guys do all these things and you guys don't you lie you lied to get donations and eventually people will catch on to that and I'm not scared of your lawyer I'm not scared of you guys I'm not scared of any of you at the end of the day I believe that karma is real what comes around goes around and you get what you give and eventually things will come back around and I am a strong believer that you know the universe puts people in your life for a reason and the universe puts you in situations for a reason and there's a reason why you know this is happening and I mean this has been happening for a year but obviously it's escalated to the point where you know there's literally people stepping down and people not wanting being wanting to be a part of your show Executive Director Kathy Powelson and mark my words I'm telling you right now you're not going to last very long with the way that you treat people and the way that you treat animals and cause harm to people and harm to animals you don't realize like I said the fact that you put on people and the effect that you can put on an animal and I know that you know you're obsessed with my dog and you always have been and maybe you're doing this in a way that you know I'll surrender my dog or something you'll never get my dog I'll tell you that much right now it's never going to happen you have been completely disgusting in the way that you act disgusting in the way that you treat people I have the emails I don't have anything deleted from 2021 all the way to now I don't have anything deleted everything is all documented so you know you're up against someone that has all the documentation you don't cuz you guys have all these people as you say trying to get enrolled and they can't and you have all these emails and stuff so you've got all my emails and everything all lost and all these other emails so you'll never be able to find the emails that I have you'll never be able to find the evidence and proof that I have trust me I know that for a fact and you know that works in my favor and that's going to come in my favor and I mean it already has a few times I've already shown screenshots and I've already posted stuff so you know all you have to do is take a read of my blog and go through everything from beginning till now and just see how bad that it's escalated and is going to continue to escalate it's not going to get any better it's going to get worse before it gets better because what you guys are doing is stripping somebody from the community where the community is donating to that person you can't take that away from that person and it's not even the person it's the dog you know it's not for me the money isn't for me like you know the enrollment isn't for me it's for my dog you know it's for my 13-year-old senior dog and for my puppy that is going to get certified you know and don't act like you guys don't have the funds I've watched your guys's website $100 here $150 here and other $50 here another $100 here $250 here $100 here $50 here like literally every f****** like I don't know like every couple like every 30 seconds every minute like this is constantly going on and you're going to act like you don't have money and then you got on your Facebook all these big old checks and everything else like you guys are not hurting for money you don't have issues with money you guys did in the past yes but i g i wonder why I mean you guys make all these stories and put up all these stories and make it look like you guys are doing all these positive things but behind closed doors the way that you treat people in their animals like my dog like I said is medically necessary and then my puppy is going to be certified as a service dog is not like you know I have two pets these are working animals these are animals that I cannot live with you guys have my doctor's note my doctor's note even States that I can end up in the ER maybe I should post that actually both of my doctors know showing that you know without my dog you know I could end up in the ER and they and you guys know that and you guys could care less you guys do not care at all and it's f****** disgusting and I don't care that I swear if I want to talk the way that I want to talk on my blog I'm going to you can't judge somebody based on the way that they talk I can barely even talk right now actually because you know I'm starting to lose my voice but you know I'm able to get the word out advocate for my dog advocate for my puppy and my little senior girl and my puppies are going to be okay I know someone's going to come along and someone's going to help and I know I'm going to get the help that I need and I know that it's going to be it's going to be somebody big and it's going to be someone that is going to say listen you've been wrong by this program this program has treated you like s*** and they've been doing it for years and then we're not talking like I've been in this program for a year like I've been in this program for nearly you know for well actually nearly 5 years almost 6 years so like you know I'm not just some random person I just you know started in the program like I know the contract I you know know that you guys have done things you guys are not supposed to do don't even have a human resource coordinator the person that's causing all the conflict you want me to talk to that person to resolve the conflict you don't go to the problem to resolve the problem make that make sense but you know what I think this is good enough for now and I am going to continue to document what goes on it's only you know 7:00 a.m. almost 7:30 and you know it's another day and I will continue to fight I will continue to advocate for my dog I will continue to do everything I can in my power for her and my puppy and you know I'm the type of person where if I have to hold back on my puppy just because you know this whole situation is going on then that's what I have to do and you know I've already spoken to the person with the puppy and if I have to inquire a different puppy for a different time than that's what I'll have to do and that's what I will do because I'm a responsible person I'm not going to bring in a puppy into a situation where all of this stuff is going on right now my main focus is my senior girl and I got to focus on her before I can focus on a puppy right now but it's it's going to happen and it will happen it's just I got to let the universe you know do its thing.

Reclaiming My Voice: No Longer Silenced
Below are the screenshots of the reviews I left for both Tynehead Animal Hospital and Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital.
As you can see with the Tynehead review, I actually had to post it a second time. They somehow managed to get my original review deleted, so I stepped up and reposted it. I am putting these here because I am finally able to speak up. I am finally able to write reviews, speak the truth, and not have to hold things in or bottle things up anymore. For a really, really long time, having to hold all of this in and being constantly threatened was severely affecting my mental health.
None of this is fabricated. None of this is made up. None of this is lies. This is all the absolute truth.
For years, I was told I had to be quiet, and I was threatened that if I didn’t stay quiet, I would be kicked out of the program. My dog's medical care was directly used as a threat against me. It feels so incredibly good to actually be able to speak my truth now and not be silenced anymore. It feels empowering to finally have my voice back and to be able to tell people my truths.
To be honest, I already saw this coming over the past year. I knew that Kathy Powelson, the Executive Director, was going to find a way to get me out of the program one way or another. If you check my previous blog posts, I actually anticipated this exact moment. I wrote before that I could feel it coming. I knew that with Dr. Llewellyn being gone on holidays for three weeks, she was going to take that exact opportunity, jump on it, and say, "Yep, this is my opportunity right here to get her kicked out of the program."
If Dr. Llewellyn was still the President of the Board of Directors, I don't think we would be in this situation at all. But he removed himself from the drama, the stress, and the anxiety because he just wanted to focus on the animals, exactly like he said. Do you really think an animal lover like him would want to do this? Come on, that man is the only one who actually, truly cares about the animals.
It is just so unfortunate that while he is still a board member of the Paws for Hope Better Together program, his hands are tied because of the program. People like him don’t come by very often. He was just like my previous vet who passed away very caring, very loving. But it’s unfortunate that people are controlled by certain individuals and have to abide by certain rules.
It is what it is. There’s not much you can really do about that part; you just have to go on with life. I wish things didn’t end up the way that they are, but it is going to be incredibly empowering to finally talk. Whether I decide to go the civil tribunal route or the full court route so that it is a completely documented public record, I am finally going to sit in front of them and tell them the absolute truth of what has been going on behind closed doors.
As they say, what is done in the dark always comes to the light.

Hope for paws animal foundation
Before I get into the facts of the situation, let me make something abundantly clear, especially to the legal counsel representing Hope for paws animal foundation and Better Together program who may be taking screenshots of this page.
This blog is my personal space. I use it for cognitive behavioral techniques to manage my complex PTSD, severe OCD, and fibromyalgia. What I write is entirely out of the scope of the Better Together program, whether this blog is public or private. It doesn't make a difference. It is an exercise of my freedom of speech, and I deal exclusively in the truth. If anyone wants to try and submit my personal coping mechanisms as evidence in my contract dispute, be my guest. The Civil Resolution Tribunal is there to rule on a breach of a legally binding contract, not to police my freedom of speech or what I do in my private life outside of the scope of the program.
Now on the facts.
If you have been following my situation with the Paws for Hope Foundation and the Better Together program, you know how I have been dealing with blatant breaches. Not just one breach, not just two, not just three, not just four, numerous breaches of my enrollment agreement. Today, the situation escalated, and it speaks volumes about how this organization operates behind closed doors.
My contract clearly states I was responsible for a 20% copay. Instead, I go to check my last voucher that I had gotten for food, and I see on the corner it said 33% copay.
Despite having undeniable documentary evidence of this breach and numerous breaches of contract, I decided to take the high road. I sent a formal settlement offer to their legal counsel. It was a genuine opportunity to resolve the monetary overcharges and the wrongful terminations out of court. I laid out clear, reasonable terms and gave them a strict 24 hour deadline to respond.
Their deadline came and went at 4:51 PM. I sent the email yesterday at 4:51 PM, and they had until 4:51 PM today, and zero response.
Instead of taking accountability, negotiating, or even acknowledging the documented proof of their breaches, Paws for Hope Foundation and their legal counsel chose complete silence. Paws for Hope Foundation and the Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program once again chose to ignore a resolution and force the issue to continue. Again, like I said, this has been going on for a little over a year now, but there have been other things that have gone on for the last four years, almost five years that I have been in the program from 2021 to 2026.
When an organization is presented with black and white evidence that they overcharged a client and broke their own contract, their response tells you exactly who they are and their character. They do not want to resolve the issue. They want to avoid accountability, and the fact that they stole money from me has me completely shocked. I am a person on disability, and I already struggle paying 20% I still struggle to pay.
Since they refused a good faith settlement, my next step is formally filing a claim with the Civil Resolution Tribunal. The public deserves to know how the Paws for Hope Foundation Better Together program truly treats the people they claim to support and help. And I will not stop speaking the truth until the facts are laid bare.
And the more I dig and the more I look into things, the more I find. The more breaches, the more lies, the more stealing, the more neglect, the more threats, the more gaslighting, the more manipulation, and the list just goes on. It just shows I am sorry, but I have to be honest, very narcissistic traits. And if they are treating me this way, I truly believe that they are treating other people this way. And I truly believe that there are a lot of other things that are going on behind closed doors that are going to come to light.
As they say, what is done in the dark always comes to the light.
