The June 1 2025 incident was first a discussion between Executive Director Kathy Powelson and me, regarding the fact that I was exhausted from going to the vet every single week for nine months straight. This was affecting me mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially, and severely impacting my health; at the time I thought I had sciatic nerve pain, but it turns out I have severe fibromyalgia. Kathy Powelson threatened me and said if I did not go to the next appointment that I would be kicked out of the program and not be enrolled in the program any longer. She would not listen to the fact that this was impacting my health, so I told her I would have to contact the board members myself. She then took the initiative and said she would add the board members to the conversation, and I have that entire discussion recorded, including my conversation with Dr. Llewellyn.
Similarly, the September 25 2025 incident was not an issue at all; it was November 24th/2025 it had nothing to do with harassment. It was simply me having Dr. Llewellyn take over the care of my 13 year old senior dog, who is a medically necessary dog, not just a pet, when he was the Board of Directors president. This came after Dr. Stephens lied to me, claiming my dog's jaw would break if she did not get dental surgery and telling me to contact the SPCA. When I followed the instructions of Dr. Stephens, the SPCA told me she had only said it was a possibility. When I confronted Dr. Stephens about the severe anxiety and panic she caused me, given my complex PTSD, Dr. Stephens had the audacity to tell me she had anxiety too. Dr. Llewellyn did the right thing by stepping in to take over her care and it wasn't September 25th/2025 It was November 25/2024 unlike I said, this is years ago, and this was stuff that was already resolved. And dealt with, there was never any warnings or anything like that. Screen shots below.
Vice President Katelynn Denny, you were present for that June 1 2025 discussion, and both you and Kathy Powelson have lied in these termination papers. Marnie from the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic has also lied, and I have the transcripts and recordings to prove it. You are all being dishonest, using excuses for these terminations when the reality is that you do not like me advocating for my dog. You want people to be afraid of losing their enrollment, but I have documented everything. I have been hypervigilant and thorough, and I have the evidence, the emails, the dates, the times, and the recordings, to prove your claims are fabrications.
The Paws for Hope Better Together program agreement states a commitment to ensuring a positive and professional environment where all people are treated with respect and dignity, specifically prohibiting all forms of bullying, harassment, and violence, referred to as a violation of respect. It is actually the staff and board members who have breached this contract. I have been harassed, stalked, bullied, threatened, and coerced by staff members and board members. Using my private blog posts to terminate my enrollment is a form of stalking and harassment. By going onto my blog to read my personal information, you are invading my privacy; whether it is public or not, you should not be reading my blog to gather information. This is completely outside the scope of the program and constitutes a breach. These are actions that staff members are absolutely not supposed to do to clients enrolled in the program. These people should be held accountable for their actions, choices, and decisions. Furthermore, the fact that you do not have a Human Resource Coordinator goes against the contract again, as you are supposed to provide one for issues like this, and there is not one.
I am not giving you any of this evidence; I am posting it on my blog for the public to see. You can try to dig and find whatever you think you can to try to terminate my 13 year old senior dog and refuse my future puppy, who will be a certified service dog, but it will not work. You claim there is no funding, yet I see your constant intake of donations on your website. I would like to ask the public how much they have donated. I want people to come forward and say how much they have donated to the Paws for Hope Better Together program, and let us see if there is truly no funding for my puppy to get certified as a service dog. I would like to ask the donors if they believe they have not donated enough for it. Telling me to wait until my current dog dies to enroll another is completely unacceptable and demonstrates a total lack of empathy.
Furthermore, regarding the food delivery incident, Kathy Powelson tried to claim I was putting pressure on the program, which is false. I have the emails with Cassie Preston showing she offered to find a volunteer, and I waited over a week without hearing a word; she never once asked if my dog had enough food or if it was an emergency. When I finally added the board members to the email chain, I received a phone call from Cassie Preston where she was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me; I have that call recorded as well.
You have caused me undue stress and anxiety, which has directly exacerbated my fibromyalgia and nervous system pain. I have abided by the contract since 2021 and have never breached it. Katelynn Denny, I challenge you to prove where I have ever disrespected staff or breached my contract. You cannot, because I have not. I am going to continue to expose these lies with the evidence I have. This is not over. With everything that has happened since 2021 to 2026, I have never complained about staff. I have never made a complaint. I have never done anything, and I could have and I should have. But there was never a Human Resource Coordinator, so how am I supposed to get help with that? I still cannot get help because there is no Human Resource Coordinator, even though it is in the contract that there is supposed to be one available. They do not have one, which is completely unacceptable for situations like this.
